NOW HIRING: Assistant Director — CREATE Child Enrichment Center LLC Location: 3222 N 24th St., Omaha, NE Hours of Operation: 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Compensation: $17/hr, 30 hours per week, opportunity for extra hours Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM Tues & Thurs: 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM About Us CREATE Child Enrichment Center LLC is a growing childcare program committed to nurturing the whole child—socially, emotionally, academically, and creatively. We’re seeking a dependable, energetic Assistant Director who can help elevate our program, support our staff, and maintain excellence throughout our daily operations. Position Overview The Assistant Director supports the day-to-day functioning of the center, ensuring classrooms run smoothly, staff remain engaged, and families receive high-quality communication. This role balances leadership, hands-on support, and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Daily Operations • Lead daily staff meetings to review goals, expectations, schedules, and center updates • Supervise staff throughout the day, providing coaching, redirection, and support • Ensure classrooms follow curriculum, daily schedules, and behavior guidance plans • Monitor productivity, professionalism, and engagement standards • Assist with ratio management and transitions when needed Family & Staff Communication • Greet and support families during drop-off • Address parent concerns or questions with professionalism and warmth • Document communication, incidents, and classroom updates Program & Curriculum Support • Help guide age-appropriate curriculum planning and implementation • Ensure lesson plans, activities, and materials support development • Work directly with teachers on improving classroom environments Kitchen, Cleaning & Safety Support • Assist with daily meal preparation and kitchen organization • Monitor center cleanliness and janitorial tasks • Ensure licensing, safety, and compliance standards are upheld Administration & Planning • Support scheduling, documentation, supply needs, and center organization • Assist with staff reminders, expectations, and accountability • Help maintain a positive, collaborative environment What We’re Looking For Required • Experience working in childcare or early childhood education • Strong communication and leadership skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and efficiently • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Team-focused and solution-oriented • Ability to give and receive feedback respectfully • Must pass state background check • Must have valid driver’s license Preferred • Prior lead teacher or supervisory experience • Understanding of Nebraska childcare licensing • Familiarity with curriculum planning • Strong organizational skills • Desire to grow into leadership Why Join C.C.E.C.? • Supportive leadership environment • Structured systems and daily routines • Opportunities for professional growth • A culture that values relationships, communication, and consistency • Chance to make a real impact in a small, family-first program 📨 How to Apply Send your resume and a short statement about why you’d be a great fit to: createchildenrichmentcenter@gmail.com Subject Line: Assistant Director Application Interviews begin immediately.
