Project Manager – Mission CriticalLocation: Lenexa, KSAbout the RoleA growing engineering and construction organization is seeking a Project Manager to support its Mission Critical team, focusing on data centers and telecommunications facilities. This role is client-facing and responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, budget, and quality.The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients and contractors, and drive successful project execution across all phases. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors Manage all phases of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout Coordinate with design teams, general contractors, and regulatory agencies Lead teams conducting technical studies and preparing reports Oversee design development, including conceptual plans, construction documents, and cost estimates Manage and track project scope, schedule, budget, and quality metrics Develop cost-saving strategies, including change orders and value engineering efforts Support proposal development, including scope definition, scheduling, and fee coordination Assist with client relationship management and ongoing communication Ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of relevant project management experience PMP certification preferred Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams) Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills Ability to mentor team members and drive project alignment with business goals Additional RequirementsAbility to travel up to 15–30% for site visits, meetings, and project support Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods
