Paralegal
This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Paralegal to take on a hybrid role that combines substantive legal work with high-level administrative responsibilities. You will play a critical role in supporting attorneys on complex litigation matters while also helping to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Unlike traditional paralegal roles, this position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to case strategy and bill for substantive legal work (anticipated 500–800 billable hours annually). You will be part of a growing office, working closely with attorneys in a collaborative environment where your contributions are visible and valued.
Key Responsibilities: Billable Legal Work Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, reports, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research and summarize findings
Assist in case strategy development and file analysis
Prepare exhibits, chronologies, and document summaries
Support trial preparation and hearing materials
E-file pleadings in state and federal courts
Review, organize, and manage litigation documents
Administrative & Operational Support Manage attorney calendars and track critical deadlines
Communicate with courts regarding filings and scheduling
Maintain and organize electronic case files in line with firm and client requirements
Reconcile attorney expenses and coordinate with accounting for billing accuracy
Assist with client reporting requirements
Coordinate travel and logistics for attorneys as needed
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate degree required
Paralegal certificate strongly preferred
3+ years of experience in a law firm or litigation environment
Experience in insurance coverage or defense litigation preferred
Ability to independently handle substantive legal work
Strong understanding of court procedures and e-filing systems
Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
