Registered Nurse

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care to medically complex pediatric patients in a pediatric rehabilitation and specialized inpatient care setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, supervising CNAs/LPNs/PCAs, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Strong assessment and communication skills are essential for this role.Location:Washington, District of Columbia, United StatesResponsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care to medically complex pediatric patients.Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.Supervise CNAs, LPNs, and PCAs as needed.Document patient care and progress accurately.Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.Assist patients with activities of daily living.Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly.Transport patient. Preps for diagnostic tests.Required Skills & Certifications: Active Registered Nurse license.BLS/CPR certification.1-2 years of nursing experience.Experience with medically complex pediatric patients.Strong assessment and communication skills.Preferred Skills & Certifications: Pediatric experience.CPN or pediatric rehabilitation certification.Experience with Cerner charting system.Special Considerations: Floating within scope to similar pediatric rehabilitation/inpatient/SNF units.Occasional weekend shifts required (facility dependent).Maximum 1 week RTO, if full week, must extend to make up time.Scheduling:36 guaranteed hours per week.Block scheduling open to request (not guaranteed).
