Surveying Technician

Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas. This position supports land surveying projects through field data processing, drafting, boundary research, and preparation of survey deliverables for residential, commercial, utility, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient, and eager to grow within a collaborative surveying environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess and review field survey data collected from GPS, total stations, and laser scanning equipmentPrepare boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and subdivision surveysDraft survey exhibits, plats, easements, and legal descriptions using CAD softwareAssist with deed and title research, boundary analysis, and record researchCoordinate with field crews, project managers, engineers, and clients to support project executionMaintain project files and ensure deliverables meet company and client standardsAssist with construction staking calculations and preparation of cut sheetsSupport quality control efforts and verify accuracy of survey data and mappingQualifications1–5+ years of land surveying or survey drafting experience preferredProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or similar survey softwareUnderstanding of boundary surveying principles and survey calculationsExperience processing GPS and conventional survey data preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; surveying coursework or degree preferredPreferred QualificationsSIT certification or pursuit of professional licensure is a plusExperience working on TxDOT, municipal, utility, or land development projectsFamiliarity with Texas surveying standards and proceduresWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesSupportive team-oriented culture and professional development opportunitiesLocationSan Antonio, Texas
