Electrical Estimator

Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry pricing.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessaryAnalyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed cost estimatesContact vendors and subcontractors for pricing and bidsPrepare and submit bid proposals, including labor, materials, and time requirementsAssist in calculating labor, materials, and equipment costCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricingConduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material costsTrack and document all estimation activities and maintain historical cost dataIdentify potential cost risks and provide value engineering optionsProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsValid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sitesEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required, Certification from respected electrical program.
