Electrical Estimator

Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry pricing.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessaryAnalyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed cost estimatesContact vendors and subcontractors for pricing and bidsPrepare and submit bid proposals, including labor, materials, and time requirementsAssist in calculating labor, materials, and equipment costCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricingConduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material costsTrack and document all estimation activities and maintain historical cost dataIdentify potential cost risks and provide value engineering optionsProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsValid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sitesEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required, Certification from respected electrical program. Bachelor’s or associate degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferredSkills and ExperienceProblem assessment and problem solvingInformation gathering and information monitoringAttention to detail and accuracyGood written and verbal communicationCustomer service orientedHigh level of computer skills including, but not limited to estimating softwareStrong math and analytical skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
