Feed Truck Driver

Feed Delivery DriverThe primary function of this position is to ensure the safe loading, transport, and complete delivery of feed products to customers.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily vehicle inspection prior to start of delivery scheduleResponsible for the timely and accurate delivery of bulk feed productsSchedule vehicle maintenance and washesSafely clean trailer compartments to mitigate possibilities of contaminationEnsure quality product and report any inconsistencies or concernsMaintain Class A or B driver's licenseComply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulationsUse caution on/around customer's property and facilitiesPerform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulationsBasic RequirementsMust have or be able to obtain Class A CDL or, at minimum, a Class B and be an insurable driverMust be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug testAbility to safely operate forklift, handcart, semi and feed trailer equipmentAvailability to work extended hours at timesMust be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with othersAgriculture background preferred, but not requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, push or pull 1-20 pounds frequently and up to 55 lbs. occasionally; climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and binsFrequent periods of standing, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying itemsMay also be required to work in confined spacesMust be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weatherMust be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
