Classic Car Mechanic and Restoration Specialist (Naples)

These automobiles span more than 100 years and require versatility. This is a rare opportunity to work hands-on with vehicles that represent the pinnacle of engineering, design, and motorsport achievement. This is not routine shop work—this is the stewardship of automotive icons. Competitive salary based on experience.Full-time; Monday through FridayResponsibilities include:Mechanical servicing, diagnostics, and preservation of historic and performance automobilesFabrication, restoration, and careful conservation work to museum standardsPreparing vehicles for exhibitions, events, historic racing, and limited operational useWorking collaboratively with curatorial and collections staff to ensure authenticity and accuracyParticipation (including travel) with shows and race events worldwideIdeal candidates bring:Strong mechanical experience with vintage, exotic, racing, or high-performance vehicles (1960s-70s Porsche experience a plus)Exceptional attention to detail and respect for historical originalityFabrication skills (machining, metalwork, fitting) are highly valuedA craftsman's mindset and pride in doing things the right wayExperience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)Familiar with Reverse Engineering methodsExperience or familiarity with 3D printingIntegrate within a Team EnvironmentDiagnostic skillset/workshop versatilityFamiliarity with basic computer software, i.e., MS Word, Excel, etc.Qualifications:10-15 years of restoration and/or historic race car prep experience.Ability to travel to automotive events, historic races, and shows.Team Player/ CollaboratorThis is more than a job—it's a chance to become a steward of automotive history while working in a professional, well-equipped shop environment alongside passionate experts.ABOUT REVS INSTITUTE:Revs Institute is dedicated to being the most useful resource on the globe for the meaningful and vintage automobile community.
