Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Job Description: Set up and operate machine tools such as stamping presses, drill presses, milling machines and grinders to produce parts to specified dimensions and finishes Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear Perform secondary operations, such as deburring, surface finishing, cleaning, and qualifying of metal parts Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Assist in troubleshooting tooling and/or machine production issues Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Requirements: Ability to set up and operate machine tools to produce parts that are within customer specifications Ability to interpret blueprints and customer specifications to ensure conforming parts Individuals must have an advanced understanding of fabrication and tooling principles, along with relevant hands-on experience High school or equivalent education Able to follow written and verbal instructions Be very detail oriented Have excellent attendance Being a self-starter with good work habits and the desire to learn Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Benefits after 90 Days: 4 Medical Plan Options (Employee Contribution) Dental Insurance (Employee Contribution) Optional Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and AFLAC Prescription Safety Glass Program Tuition Reimbursement Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Paid Time Off 401K Aerospace Fabricator/Machine Operator Wages: Wages commensurate with experience Shift Premium for Afternoon Shift Base Wage will be reviewed after 90 Days of employment Overtime may be required Apply on-line at www.schallergroup.com/careers or apply in person at 49505 Gratiot Ave, Chesterfield, MI.
