Position: ODVT EngineerLocation: San Jose, CA - OnsiteKey Responsibilities:Review engineering specifications and develop test strategies for new productsIntegrate new equipment and develop test systems and environmentsLeverage automation to implement test strategy & improve efficiencyTest product compliance with internal specs and industry standardsProvide detailed issue mitigation & drive issues to closureDocument test plans, procedures, and test reportsHelp root cause field issues & support customer escalationsCollaborate with system designers, SI engineers, SW/diagnostics engineers, customer escalation engineers, and external vendors to ensure robust test methodology and timely issue mitigation, resulting in high product qualityMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer EngineeringExperience with electrical or optical test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes w/CDR, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise generators, traffic generators)Experience with high-speed SERDES or signal integrityPreferred Qualifications:Automation expertise: Experience in test automation, familiar with Python, C/C++, or MATLABExperience in optical transceiver theory, functional blocks, and form factors (SFP, QSFP, OSFP, QSFPDD, etc.)Experience in optical signal measurementExperience with troubleshooting & diagnostics, and instrument control & automationExperience building HW/Optics physical layer evaluation methodologies based on product requirements, scripting (e.g., Python) for measurement automationExperience with fundamental hardware blocks & subsystems—CPU/microcontrollers, LVDS signaling, clocking, and power issues; familiarity with schematics and board layoutFamiliarity with the following standards: IEEE 802.3, OIF/CEI, MSA, SFF8431
