Senior Accountant

Job Description Transition Staffing Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company with over 40 years of industry success to hire a Senior Accountant . This is a high-impact, hands-on role working directly alongside the CFO, offering strong visibility, stability, and a clear path for growth into an Accounting Manager position.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the accounting process, operating with autonomy, and contributing to process improvements within a collaborative, close-knit team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsLead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timelinessPrepare financial statements and internal reporting packages for leadershipPerform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies across accountsSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysisStrengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvementServe as a key point of contact for external auditors and support year-end audit activitiesPartner cross-functionally with operations on inventory reconciliation and analysisMonitor AR/AP aging and assist with collections and cash flow visibilitySupport cash flow tracking and basic treasury functionsDrive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancementsAssist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and internal controlsProven ability to own the close process and financial reportingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environmentPreferred / Plus QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing environmentExperience with ERP systems (D365, SAP, or similar)Prior experience supporting audits and working with external auditors/CPAsExposure to inventory accounting and operational collaborationBilingual English/Korean skills are a plusCompany Description Transition Staffing Group is an award winning San Diego based staffing agency providing solutions on a Temporary, Temporary-to-Hire and Direct Hire basis.
