Building Finishing ContractorsHousehold and Institutional Furniture and Kitchen Cabinet ManufacturingCoating, Engraving, Heat Treating, and Allied ActivitiesPaint, Coating, and Adhesive ManufacturingHardware ManufacturingPowder CoaterA Powder Coater prepares surfaces, applies dry powder coating using spray guns, cures parts in an oven, and ensures a durable, quality finish, following strict safety protocols, cleaning equipment, and maintaining records, often working with conveyors and various metals in manufacturing settings.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation: Cleaning, sanding, masking, and treating metal surfaces for proper adhesion.Coating Application: Selecting colors, loading powder, and spraying evenly with spray guns (manual or automatic).Curing: Moving parts into and out of high temperature curing ovens.Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for defects, coverage, and adherence to standards, troubleshooting issues.Equipment & Area Maintenance: Cleaning spray guns, booths, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.Documentation: Keeping records of coated parts, colors, and processes.Safety: Adhering to all safety procedures, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proper disposal of materials.Skills and QualificationsAttention to detail and manual dexterity.Ability to read blueprints and specifications.Understanding materials, processes, and basic equipment maintenance.Physical strength to move parts and stand for extended periods.Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hot environment.$19 - $23 an hour Bonuses based on performance and profitability.
