Security Guard (Unarmed)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to join our team at a construction site. As an integral part of our security team, you will be responsible for safeguarding the construction site, ensuring the safety of personnel, and protecting valuable assets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities: Site Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the construction site to detect and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities. Monitor and inspect access points, perimeter fencing, and other vulnerable areas. Access Control: Verify and authorize the entry of individuals and vehicles onto the construction site. Issue and maintain visitor passes and identification credentials as needed. Surveillance: Utilize security cameras and monitoring equipment to keep a watchful eye on the premises. Report any unusual incidents or security concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities. Emergency Response: Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations, including but not limited to fire, medical emergencies, or security breaches. Collaborate with emergency services when necessary and follow established protocols. Communication: Maintain effective communication with construction site personnel, fellow security guards, and management. Provide clear and concise written reports detailing incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts. Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with employees, contractors, and visitors to the construction site. Address inquiries and concerns promptly, maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor. Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies and safety regulations, ensuring compliance among individuals present on the construction site. Collaborate with management to address any breaches of security or violations of policies. Qualifications: Proven experience in security-related roles is preferred. Strong observational and surveillance skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively. Familiarity with basic first aid procedures is a plus. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions. Additional Requirements: Valid state-issued security guard license. Completion of basic security training. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical fitness and ability to perform routine security tasks.
