Job Description:Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB Join a leading maternal-fetal medicine–led hospitalist program in the vibrant city of San Jose, California. Experience a high-acuity and supportive clinical setting that provides top-tier neonatal and anesthesia support.Job Responsibilities:Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage within a Maternal-Fetal Medicine–led practiceManage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requestsRespond to and manage MFM patient transports (approximately 5–6 per month)Assist in cesarean sections (assist in 1–2 cases, average of 0–3 cases)Conduct inpatient rounding, including postpartum patientsParticipate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialistsPerform gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patientsCoordinate care within a high-acuity obstetric setting supported by:Level III NICU24-hour dedicated Anesthesiology coverage for Labor & Delivery24-hour Neonatology coverage24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist coverageWork alongside a separate on-call GYN surgical service for gynecologic surgical managementDeliver comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care in a high-volume, multidisciplinary hospital environmentQualifications:Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYNActive California license (or in process)Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred)Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)Interest in full-time or part-time employmentDEA (must be obtained prior to start)License and Certification Requirements:BC/BE OB-GYN qualificationActive California medical license San Jose, known for its beautiful climate and diverse culture, offers a fantastic backdrop for both professional growth and personal enjoyment.
