We are currently seeking Part-Time Catering Kitchen Porters/Dishwashers to support our Long Island City-based operations. ROLE OVERVIEW The Catering Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher plays a critical support role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation across our kitchen and facility. This position ensures that dishes, equipment, and kitchen spaces meet Dish’s standards for safety, efficiency, and readiness. This is a hands-on, physical role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and understands the importance of consistency and reliability in food service operations. This role requires flexibility, including availability for morning, evening, weekend, and occasional holiday shifts. SKILLS REQUIRED Restock clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated storage areas Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish stations and kitchen work areas Clean and sanitize floors, drains, coolers, freezers, and kitchen surfaces Support overall kitchen cleanliness to ensure food safety and operational readiness Sort, remove, and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated pickup areas Maintain clean and orderly back-of-house and support areas as needed Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards Perform other reasonably assigned duties based on operational needs QUALIFICATIONS Prior porter or dishwasher experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Willingness to learn, take direction, and continuously improve Ability to stand for extended periods of time Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious CULTURE + VALUES Embody Dish’s Core Values, Mission and Heart Hospitality standards Foster positive communication across front and back of house Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment CLASSIFICATION, COMPENSATION & PAY Part-time, on-call, non-exempt position 5 hour minimum for every event  Eligible for overtime pay at 1.5x regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek Weekly payroll BENEFITS & PERKS Flexible scheduling — work when you can Ability to change availability week to week Employee referral program with paid bonuses Raise eligibility program for long-term employees Paid Safe and Sick Time & Paid Family Leave in accordance with NYS law Family meal  Fun, team-oriented work environment DISH is committed to providing equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants and employees.
