Job Description138 year old, family owned importer/distributor who is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced representative to join our growing Chicago team for on premise sales.The candidate must have a solid history selling both imported and domestic wines. This role requires the development of a Chicago territory (downtown, River North, West Loop, Gold Coast) focused on premise. The ideal candidate brings relationships with top accounts while prospecting and targeting new account openings. A competitive nature and genuine passion for the food and beverage industry in general is a recipe for success. We represent established brands from all over the globe at all price points.Skills & Qualifications:ALL Fine wine sales experience a must.* Restaurant relationships are a mustMust be motivated, organized, self-starter who is able to work independently to achieve sales goals that are clearly outlined each month/year. You will not be micro managed.Requirements:Valid Illinois driver's license, safe driving recordReliable transportation to service the sales territoryProof of insurance on the vehicle is requiredServicing accounts (8-12) daily, requiring driving and getting in and out of the vehicleMust be able to lift 40 pounds or moreAbility to work the occasional evening or weekend tasting/eventUnderstanding of wholesale and on-premise pricing and marginsBasic Microsoft Office/Outlook knowledgeCompensation:Base pay, Commission (3-6%) + BonusCar AllowanceMedical and dental coverage401(k)Paid vacation and holidaysJob category: Sales and Marketing
