Financial Benefit Analyst - Remote (PST)
Position OverviewFinancial Benefits Analyst supports all aspects of financial analysis related to clients' group benefit programs. The role works closely with the financial support team to provide support to Account Manager(s) and Benefits Consultant(s). Key ResponsibilitiesDraft accurate exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings. Draft client utilization reports using various carrier reporting methods. Analyze data and identify opportunities for plan design and product changes based on utilization patterns. Draft monthly reporting deliverables for clients. Analyze industry benchmarks and prepare information to show client competitiveness. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carrier partners. Maintain accurate, current, organized, and complete market information in internal databases. Assist team and clients with special projects as needed. Demonstrate expertise across funding models including fully insured, self‐funded (ASO), level‐funded, and alternative risk‐financing strategies. Build financial projections that compare expected cost, volatility, and renewal outcomes across funding approaches. Support strategic cost‐control initiatives tied to funding and assist consultants in assessing feasibility and implementation of aggressive funding alternatives. Translate complex funding arrangements into clear guidance for the service team, explaining trade‐offs and client impact in plain language. Qualifications2‐3 years of experience. Bachelor's degree required; Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field preferred. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience in the healthcare industry working for a group insurance carrier, broker, or consultant preferred. Knowledge of group insurance products (medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life, disability) strongly preferred. Experience with database applications a plus. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple and changing client priorities and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment. License preferred. Pay & BenefitsThe typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $125,000 to $135,000 per year. Base pay depends on skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles may be eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on performance.
