This individual will be responsible for estimating glass and glazing projects for PCI.Job Responsibilities IncludePrepare Requests for Proposal (RFP) for applicable scopes of workReceive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopes and their alignment with bid documentsDevelop and maintain positive relationships with the local customer base to support PCI’s Customer Alignment objectivesWork directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractorsAttend pre-bid site walk-throughsPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and estimatesDissect projects into functional stagesCarefully review project schedules related to applicable scopesWrite detailed proposals, maintaining accuracy and ensuring completenessPrepare bid analyses and conduct bid reviewsPrepare financial job cost analysesSource subcontractors, materials, and equipment while evaluating competitive pricingProvide training and leadership to other members of the Estimating team, as neededMaintain accountability and ownership of business metrics and sales plansParticipate in bid strategy meetings for all major pursuitsSalary range: $90,000 - $110,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.This position is safety sensitive.Basic RequirementsMust have at least 3-5 years’ experience estimating glass and glazing construction projects Must have at least 7 years of total experience within the construction industryExperience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of constructionStrong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methodsHas a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationshipsExcellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skillsPossess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skillsAbility to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of workProficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick BidProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwiftAbility to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independentlyHas capacity and willingness to expand upon or acquire new knowledge about product lines/scopesPossess critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsPreferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline Experience with estimating glass and glazing commercial construction projects.OSHA certificationExperience working with union representativesLocal to the Indianapolis area preferredBenefitsAt Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
