Kindergarten Special Educator (Push-In/Push-Out Model)

Manhattan Day School - Manhattan Day School, a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school on the Upper West Side, is seeking a skilled, thoughtful, and collaborative Special Educator to join our Kindergarten team.Our Early Childhood programs are rooted in relationship-based learning, developmentally responsive practice, and strong partnerships with families. We are looking for an educator with deep expertise in behavioral management, executive functioning, and emotional regulation who can support students through a push-in/push-out model while working closely with classroom teachers.Responsibilities include:Providing individualized and small-group academic support within and outside the classroomDesigning and implementing targeted interventions aligned with student learning goalsSupporting students in developing executive functioning skills such as task initiation, organization, flexibility, and self-monitoringCreating and implementing proactive behavior plans rooted in skill-building strategiesCollaborating closely with classroom teachers, specialists, administrators, and familiesMonitoring student progress and maintaining clear documentationParticipating in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiativesQualifications:NYS certification in Special Education (required)Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (Master's preferred)Experience supporting early childhood or elementary-aged studentsStrong background in behavioral management and executive functioning supportCalm, structured, and proactive approach to student supportAbility to collaborate effectively within a team-based modelSalary commensurate with experience.To apply, please send your resume to
