Press Assistant 2 - Flexographic Press - 12-hr Rotating Night ShiftThis position is for a 12-hour rotating night shift (6:00pm - 6:00am) (Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Week 2: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday). The 12-hour rotating night shift is eligible for a night shift differential.Requirements:Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordinglyInspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reelsMaintains proper inventory of paper. Records usage and spoilage on SPC reportEnsures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted and ready to be splicedMonitors the flow of paper throughout the run. Prepares and installs new roll when necessaryWorks in conjunction with the press operators and other assigned Press Assistants in the preventative maintenance of the presses.Assists maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and making repairs to pressMay assist with make-readiesMay adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to ensure that proper color is established or maintained as required by locationAdheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policiesPerforms other related duties and participates in special projects as assignedIt is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality ManualQualifications:Previous experience in a printing environment preferredSome experience in the operation of various hand tools preferredMust be able to work in a team environmentAdditional Information:All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.The pay range for this role at the noted location is $19.77 to $26.52 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
