This field-based role supports system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction through hands-on technical expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform startup, commissioning, and functional testing of BAS/DDC systemsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC controls and automation systemsExecute preventative maintenance and implement system upgrades or modificationsPerform programming adjustments, system configuration, and point-to-point checkoutWork with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LON, and IP-based networksRespond to service calls, including occasional after-hours supportCollaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to complete projectsMaintain accurate service documentation and ensure safe work practicesSuccess MetricsTimely resolution of service calls and system issuesHigh system uptime and performance reliabilityStrong customer satisfaction and repeat service opportunitiesAccurate and complete service documentationWho You AreA hands-on, mechanically and technically inclined problem-solver who enjoys working in the field.
