Manager, Engineering
Overview
As Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead a cross-functional team to develop, optimize, and support production processes and equipment. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance and process documentation. You will partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering to scale manufacturing for existing and new products. Your role combines people leadership with hands-on process improvement to reduce waste, cycle time, and defects. ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and techniciansSet priorities, assign projects, and manage workloadEstablish performance goals and development plansOwn manufacturing processes and optimization for productsDevelop standardized work, PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructionsApply Lean, Six Sigma and CI methodologies to improve throughput and yieldDrive initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework; improve quality and productivityDefine equipment and tooling requirements; lead selection and implementationOversee installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and automationEnsure processes meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA)Lead root cause analysis and CAPAs; maintain manufacturing documentationSupport audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspectionsCollaborate with multiple functions to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets
Key requirementsEngineering degree with minimum 7+ years in engineering; at least 2 years supervisory experienceStrong experience in Lean, CI, and process improvementExcellent communication and project management skillsFamiliarity with advanced manufacturing technologiesProven ability to hire and develop high-performing teamsAbility to work across cross-functional teams and manage multiple prioritiesProven track record in CAPA and corrective actionsExperience with regulatory standards and quality systems (FDA, ISO)communicationteam leadershiptime and project managementLean & Six SigmaCI methodologiesPFMEA
