Introduction A 24/7 AAHA-accredited emergency hospital in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join a large, collaborative team of 15 doctors. This well-established hospital, open every day of the year, is expanding its services and facilities while maintaining a strong culture of mentorship, wellness, and high-quality care. Working Hours / Rota This is a full-time emergency position with shifts scheduled to support 24/7 coverage. Flexible scheduling is available, and the hospital provides a robust mentoring program for veterinarians with less ER experience. Role Description and Responsibilities The Emergency Veterinarian will diagnose and treat urgent and critical cases, perform emergency surgeries, and provide advanced care supported by a fully equipped facility. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional client communication, collaborating with a skilled medical team, and upholding the highest standards of emergency and critical care. Practice Details The hospital features a fully equipped diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, cutting-edge surgical suites, and a CT ready for integration into its expanded facility. In addition to emergency and critical care, a boarded dental specialist provides advanced dentistry services. The practice culture emphasizes teamwork, respect, and continual learning. Team The team includes 15 veterinarians, with a strong support network led by an experienced Medical Director. The hospital fosters a collaborative environment and offers mentorship to new and developing emergency doctors, while also encouraging growth for experienced veterinarians.
