Driver Manager/Dispatcher

Job Description: FV Recycling is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Driver Manager/Dispatcher to join our growing operations team. This is a high-impact role at the center of our logistics operation, responsible for coordinating daily service, supporting drivers, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.As a Driver Manager, you will oversee daily routing operations and serve as the primary manager for a team of route drivers. You'll balance logistics planning, compliance, and communication to ensure routes run safety, efficiently, and on schedule.This role partners closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Maintenance teams to keep service running smoothly and continuously improving performance.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Use custom routing software to schedule daily and weekly pickupsTrack and communicate with drivers daily to ensure on time serviceWork with the customer service team to review and prioritize service requestsPlan efficient routes to maximize loads and service customers on timeAssist with scheduling on minor equipment maintenance and roadside serviceManage attendance and leave requests for driversReview load documents for accuracyWork with management team to increase efficiency for all routes through the use of KPIsCorrespond with customers and customer service agents regarding pickups and any delays to serviceCollaborate with other team members to cover routes as needed to avoid lapse in serviceParticipate in training, coaching, and disciplinary action for driversPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications2 years or more previous experience in transportation dispatch or DOT mandated business preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionHighly adaptableExcellent organizational skills and logical thinkingStrong communication skillsMultitaskingBasic to proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with an ability to quickly learn new software operations
