Today, more than 30,000 families and individuals call an Epcon community "home," which makes Epcon one of the top lifestyle-rich home developers in the country year after year.The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations for a team that prepares loan draw requests, manages specific financial processes such as invoice submission and approval, accounts payable, collection of lien waivers and reconciliation of project-related costs.This role also supports the development and management of community construction budgets, cost to complete reporting, cost research and analysis, and cost of goods sold reporting.ESSENTIAL TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage, train, and mentor accounts payable staff to ensure accurate and timely processing.Oversee the full-cycle invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor management to ensure precision and compliance.Ownership of the invoice workflow tools/software validating the chart of accounts, community listings, and associate access are kept up to date.Serve as the lead contact for internal matters related to the monthly loan draws, due dates, and invoice and payment issues.Review and approve loan draw packages.Manage and assist with the set-up of new communities for future loan draw processing.Collaborate with the Director, Community Budgets to prioritize team assignments, schedules, workloads, and time-clock reporting.Partner with the Director, Community Budgets to ensure staff meetings are well-organized and productive including agenda coordination, action item tracking, and follow-through on team accountability.Additional responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of construction budgets and project completion cost estimates, along with administration of cost-to-complete and cost of goods sold reporting.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience with prior experience in the homebuilding or construction industry preferred.Prior experience in a management role with multiple direct reports.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Demonstrated professional maturity and leadership.Adept with SAP invoice & expense or other accounts payable workflow tool/softwareProficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting systems with advanced level of proficiency with Excel.Solid working knowledge of accounting software.Knowledge of construction draw process preferred.Strong team management skills.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Organized with attentiveness to detail and accuracy.Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated dependability and reliability.Ability to perform effectively and efficiently while managing multiple priorities.Effective problem-solving skills.Ability to work well independently.Displays cooperation and ability to work as part of a team.Ability to develop, collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of associates.Excellent internal and external customer service skills.What We Offer the Accounting Manager, Construction:Company-provided short- and long-term disability and life insurance401(k) plan including company matchPaid time off including vacation, sick and holidaysConvenient Dublin location with free parking on-site.Epcon Communities Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.J-18808-Ljbffr
