As our new GP clinic opens its doors, we're seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to help deliver exceptional patient and client care in a collaborative and expanding environment. Collaborative culture with open communication and shared leadership across roles Requirements What You'll Do Safely handle and restrain patients with minimal stress during exams and treatments Assist in diagnostics: lab sample collection, radiographs, record vitals, perform basic lab work (PCV/TP, urinalysis, etc.) Support the team during routine procedures including anesthetic induction/recovery and client prep Maintain tidy, organized treatment rooms, exam rooms, and supply areas Help communicate with clients and provide supportive guidance throughout their visit What We're Looking For Veterinary assistant with at least 1–2 years of experience in small animal practice Proficient knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal handling, and basic medical workflows Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills in a fast-paced clinic environment Tech-savvy and comfortable learning software like ezyVet or Smartflow Why Portland Vet - Stroudwater?
