Bakery Associate

Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items, including bread, pastries, and desserts - Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste - Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters - Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces - Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and restocking ingredients - Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their bakery needs - Handle cash transactions using a cash register or POS system - Package bakery items for sale and ensure attractive presentation in the display case Experience: - Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment is preferred - Knowledge of food industry standards and best practices for food preparation and safety - Familiarity with retail math for pricing and weighing bakery items - Experience with bussing tables or cleaning dining areas is a plus - Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is an asset - Culinary training or education in baking/pastry arts is desirable but not required As a Bakery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.
