In an environment like this, the team with the sharpest read on the market wins.As our first Product Marketing Manager focused on Market Intelligence, you will own how Profound understands the market we are in and the one we are building toward. You will run competitive intelligence, analyst relations, and win-loss programs as a single connected system, ensuring the insights from each actually change how we sell, build, and go to market. You'll report into Product Marketing and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Executive Leadership, and GTM Ops.What You’ll DoOwn Profound’s view of the competitive landscape, including who is in the market, what they are building, how they are selling, and where we win and loseTrack competitor product launches, pricing changes, messaging shifts, funding, and go-to-market moves, translating them into clear implications for the businessBuild and maintain field-facing assets such as battlecards, objection-handling guides, competitive teardowns, and deal support materialsRun a consistent cadence of competitive updates across Sales, Marketing, Product, and executive teamsGo deep on competitor products and workflows to form first-hand, defensible perspectivesBuild and run Profound’s analyst relations program across firms covering AI search, marketing technology, and adjacent categoriesOwn analyst briefings, inquiries, and research participation, ensuring consistent narrative and positioningUse analyst feedback as a strategic input into positioning, roadmap, and category definitionPosition Profound to lead in analyst coverage as the category developsBuild and operate the company’s win-loss program through structured interviews, deal reviews, and ongoing analysisIdentify what is actually driving wins and losses across product, pricing, positioning, and process, and feed that back into the businessEnsure market intelligence translates into action across product decisions, sales strategy, marketing campaigns, and executive planningPartner with Product Marketing on positioning, messaging, and launches informed by market contextPartner with Product on roadmap prioritization where competitive dynamics matterSupport Sales and Customer Success on deal strategy, especially in competitive cyclesBrief executives ahead of board meetings, investor conversations, and key customer interactionsWho You Are4 to 7 years of experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, market research, strategy, or a related field at a B2B SaaS companyExperience building or contributing to competitive intelligence, analyst relations, or win-loss programsExperience working in fast-moving markets where the category and competitive set are still evolvingStrong research instincts and ability to separate signal from noiseComfortable getting into the details of technical products and forming clear points of viewAble to translate complex market dynamics into clear, actionable insightsStrong writer capable of producing high-quality briefs, battlecards, and narrativesComfortable working with executives and external stakeholders such as analystsClear communicator who simplifies complex ideas without losing accuracyLow ego, high output, and comfortable working at any level of detail requiredStrong cross-functional operator who builds trust through accuracy and usefulnessWilling to challenge assumptions and adapt quickly as new information emergesExperience in marketing technology, analytics, or AI is a plusFamiliarity with AI search, LLM-based discovery, or answer engine optimization is a plusExperience building analyst relations or win-loss programs from scratch is a plusExperience supporting enterprise sales teams or working in deal cycles is a plusLocationThis is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.For this role, the expected base salary range is $145,000 to $200,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
