Academic Rheumatologist The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join our Division of Rheumatology. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of rheumatology in a collaborative, academically focused environment.
Position details
Outpatient rheumatology practice with a broad range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions
Inpatient consult service responsibilities
Participation in multidisciplinary clinics and care models
Exposure to complex and diverse rheumatologic diseases
Robust academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research
Collaborative care model with APPs, nurses, and support staff
Candidate qualifications
MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology
Demonstrated clinical expertise in rheumatologic disease management
Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
