A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:\nRN - PCU\n\nJob Details:\n• 12-hour shifts with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio\n• 2 years of nursing experience required, previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred\n• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)\n• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n• 12 hours of orientation provided\n• Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts per 13-week contract\n• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed\n• Float to all medical-surgical units including emergency department for inpatient holds\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with 31-bed unit capacity\n• Experience required in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown\n• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and various cardiac procedures\n• Epic charting system experience preferred\n• Must complete compliance documentation 2 Fridays before start date and training modules 1 week prior to start\n• Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses required or compact license\n\nFacility:\nThis healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive medical system offering progressive care services with a 31-bed PCU unit.
