Communications Specialist
ResponsibilitiesManage multiple communications and content projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentDraft and edit press releases, newsletters, blog posts, website copy, talking points, and other client-facing communications materialsSupport day-to-day social media management, content scheduling, and digital engagement efforts across platformsAssist with planning and executing integrated digital communications campaigns, including paid and targeted outreach effortsUpdate website content and support broader digital communications initiativesSupport media relations activities including media outreach, press tracking, and monitoring coverageAssist with development of marketing collateral, presentations, podcasts, infographics, and multimedia communications materialsCoordinate across internal teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and timely project executionQualifications2–4 years of communications, public relations, public affairs, strategic communications, or related experience (relevant internships may count toward experience)Hands-on experience managing social media platforms, supporting digital communications campaigns, and creating content across multiple formats and channelsStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiencesExperience creating communications materials including newsletters, blogs, presentations, social content, and website copyBachelor’s degree requiredInterest in policy, government, advocacy, or public affairs-related work strongly preferredExperience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, WordPress, or similar digital communications tools is a plus
