Human Resources Manager

Join our client in a Distribution Center in Las Vegas as their new Senior Manager, Human Resources. This role is Onsite (no remote work).You will lead a team of exempt and non-exempt HR professionals to execute and deliver an HR strategy that supports business objectives, and creates a compliant, safe, productive and positive work environment for all employees. You will work closely with the facility’s General Manager to ensure alignment between HR and business strategy, as well as work with the facility’s leadership team to guide and support performance management and counseling, employee development, talent development and succession planning. Essential Functions of Job:Talent & Performance Management:Implement and manage the cyclical performance management processCollaborate with leadership team to understand and execute organizational HR and TA strategy, focusing on current and future talent needsPerform succession planning and gap analysis to develop effective leadership development plansProvide performance management support by guiding and delivering performance improvement plans, disciplinary guidance, and terminations, ensuring fairness and consistencyConduct exit interviews for exempt leadersAnalyze exit interview data and onboarding feedback to identify trends and areas for improvementLeadership Development & Strategic HR Support:Cultivate Creativity and Disruption to serve as the change champion in support of HR initiatives and functional HR strategy.Build and develop a skilled HR teamSupport strategic leadership development plans and provide leadership coaching and consultationBenchmark and collect data from surveys and feedback for benefits and compensation, collaborating on recommendations to stakeholdersSupport network and HQ initiatives and project workCalibrate with operations leaders for peak readiness and staffing strategies including but not limited to effective selection, onboarding, retention, and engagementER, Compliance, and Legal:Ensure site alignment and consistency across network of distribution centers in the USWork cross functionally with headquarters for support and guidance on compensation, benefits, learning and development and HR systems.Support HRG in ER case management and provide decision guidanceAddress escalated employee relation issues, legal-related concerns, and collaborate with legal partnersEnforce consistent policies and procedures and revisions, when necessaryPerform local work accommodation analysis and calibrationConsult on escalated LOA situationsEmployee Engagement, Safety, & Culture: Conduct listening sessions, develop action plans, administer Voice Surveys, and monitor progress Drive engagement efforts aimed at creating and maintaining a positive work environmentPerform site safety calibration and manage safety incident, collaborating with operations leaders and Environmental Health & Safety Team Manage workers’ compensation cases and conduct site-specific analysisMaintain a successful partnership with staffing agencies while managing contracts to aligned service level agreementsRequirements: 5 – 7 years’ of experience in an HR Manager role within a logistics/distribution centers Strong employee relations and safety focus Experience in leading a team of hourly and salaried HR StaffExperience in working in a collaborative environment; with proven ability for high level of follow through and accountability.Strong verbal and written communication skills; proactive communicator able to influence and encourage innovation.High-level attention and urgency to detail with ability to manage workload with shifting priorities.Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule and work occasional evenings and weekends, based on business and operational needs.Proficiency with MS Office
