Specifically, we are building an Ai layer on top of CAD/CAM to revolutionize the Manufacturing industry. This is an onsite opportunity in San Francisco where you will help shape system architecture for complex workflows and be part of an engineering-driven, collaborative culture. The role offers hands-on development with advanced technology, and the chance to make a significant impact on the company’s backend systems and engineering solutions.Responsibilities:Design, build, and optimize backend systems utilizing Python for production environments.Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services supporting core application functionality.Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.Contribute to overall system architecture, performance tuning, and code quality initiatives.Support deployment processes, including those involving on-premise infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the backend stack.Integrate modern development practices including testing, CI/CD, and version control.Must-Have Skills:Proven experience with Python in production software engineering.Hands-on expertise building and scaling backend systems and APIs.Strong understanding of system design, distributed computing, and backend optimization.Familiarity with development tools and practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and version control.Ability to work effectively onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with 3D systems, CAD environments, or computational geometry.Knowledge of ray casting, geometric processing, or spatial algorithms.Background supporting or deploying solutions in on-premise environments.Experience participating in code reviews and shaping backend architectural standards.Exposure to highly scalable, high-performance system design.
