The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and operating room staff by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and accounted for before and after procedures.Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and respond promptly during surgeries.Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records as required.Assist in the inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with surgical technology and best practices.QualificationsCurrent certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Scrub Tech.Proven experience working in an operating room environment.Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus.CPR certification preferred.Work EnvironmentThis position requires standing for extended periods, working in a sterile environment, and the ability to respond quickly to surgical team needs.
