Maintenance Supervisor - General (Afternoon Shift)Location: Wayne, MIDuration: Contractual (Long Term)Shift: Afternoon (2:30 PM - 11:30 PM)Hourly Rate Range: $35 - $37 per hour (W2)As a Maintenance Supervisor you will support operations at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI. This role serves as a Plant Engineering Process Coach, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production through strong leadership, effective maintenance execution, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support daily maintenance operations to ensure production equipment runs safely, efficiently, and at required ratesApply and reinforce standard manufacturing operating systemsAssign skilled trades and engineering resources to maintain continuous equipment operationParticipate in manufacturing operations system (MOS) meetings and develop equipment failure documentation (Maximo 4Ds)Develop, review, and improve preventive maintenance (PM) job plans and spare parts strategiesCoordinate resources and activities to support problem-free equipment startup and shift transitionsFacilitate startup and shift-to-shift meetingsConduct constraint analysis and coordinate efforts to eliminate bottlenecksMonitor and improve equipment efficiency to maximize productivityReview and approve PM activities and ensure parts availabilityDrive safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, morale, and environment (SQDCPME) continuous improvement processesEnsure compliance with all government and industry safety and quality standardsBuild Team Leader and Team Member capability through coaching, communication, and recognitionFoster a positive, accountable, and results-oriented work environmentRequired SkillsSiemens systemsProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC)Electrical Engineering fundamentals3D modeling experienceRequired ExperienceAbility to work independently with limited supervisionProven experience supervising or leading a unionized hourly workforceStrong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skillsStrong problem-solving and conflict leadership capabilitiesDemonstrated leadership behaviors with strong interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Experience3-5 years of automotive manufacturing experienceKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principlesSafety and quality leadership experienceExperience managing maintenance operations in a production environmentFundamental knowledge of PLC logic and controlsWorking knowledge of Maximo and FIS systemsExperience supporting both production and maintenance operationsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)EducationRequired: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: Associate DegreeNo C2CBenefitsAs a Maintenance Supervisor with Bartech Staffing, you will be working through an established and respected staffing organization with over 40 years of serving as a trusted partner to our client companies.
