We serveimmigrants and their families with the highest standard of legal representation, and we run ourfirm with the same standard internally.The Opportunity:This position is built for a candidate with immigration law experience who is ready to takeownership of a firm's in-office operations while contributing to active casework alongside anexperienced remote legal team.You will be the bridge between our clients and our remote legal team — ensuring everypackage goes out on time, every document is in the right place, every client who walks throughthe door feels respected and informed, and every piece of correspondence is processed andcommunicated correctly.As you demonstrate mastery in the role, you will take on more complex casework, earn greaterautonomy, and be considered for title advancement and compensation review at 12 months.Your Growth PathMonth 1 — Master all office operations and learn every system.Month 2 — Begin drafting family petitions and FOIAs under paralegal and attorneysupervision.Months 3-4 — Operate independently on legal prep and begin assisting with intake,consultations, and retainer process.12+ Months — Take on more complex case types and/or promoted to Office Manager. Performance review, title advancement, and compensation evaluation.What You Will DoOffice Operations — Daily FoundationIncoming Mail & Correspondence• Receive, scan, label, and process every piece of incoming correspondence following thefirm's protocol.• Upload documents to the client's folder in our case management and cloud systems.• Send a daily group email to the remote team listing all correspondence received.• Log every item and contact each client by email and phone to inform them of theircorrespondence.• For urgent notices (RFE, NOID, denial, court date, USCIS interview): immediately notifythe Client Manager and Case Manager with a clear, flagged communication.Outgoing Mail & Package Preparation• Receive package instructions from the remote paralegal team and independently reviewevery package before printing — confirm all signatures, verify exhibits match the table ofcontents, and confirm the mailing address.• Print, assemble, seal, and label packages. Deliver to the building receptionist before2:00 PM for same-day dispatch.• Upload the final package to both systems and log a note confirming mailing.Client Reception and Document Collection• Welcome every client warmly and provide excellent service to walk-ins and scheduledappointments alike.• Collect documents from in-person clients and help clients with questionnaires, lists ofdocuments, and clarifying their questions and doubts.• Answer general questions professionally. Escalate all legal or case-specific questions tothe Client Manager.Administrative & Office Management• Review the Managing Attorney's calendar every morning and inform her of allconsultations and pending tasks.• Manage and organize the Managing Attorney's email inbox daily.• Research and compare service providers — gather quotes and present findings beforeany hiring decision.• Maintain office supply inventory and reorder as needed.Legal Work• Prepare family-based immigration petitions (I-130 and supporting documentation).• Prepare FOIA requests and track responses.• Assist with Adjustment of Status documentation preparation under paralegal andattorney supervision.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who sees what needs to happen and makes it happen, who can assist and eventually manage the office to make operations run smoothly. Required• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an immigration law firm as a legal assistant,paralegal, or office coordinator.• Working knowledge of immigration processes: family petitions, adjustment of status,FOIA, and USCIS/EOIR correspondence.• Proficiency in a legal case management system.• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
