Panel QA/QC Technician

About the role: The Panel QA/QC Tech will be responsible for implementing company's Mission Critical HVAC Control QAQC plan, under supervision of the QAQC manager. This includes office-based analytical and reporting work, as well as traveling to any job site in the field to perform conformance checks and support. Key Responsibilities:Perform in-process and final inspections of control panelsVerify wiring, components, torque, labeling, and workmanshipConduct functional testing including I/O checks and power-up verificationEnsure compliance with schematics, BOMs, and customer specificationsVerify UL 508A compliance including SCCR and labeling requirementsDocument inspections, non-conformances, and quality dataSupport corrective actions and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain a safe and organized work environment Qualifications:High school diploma required; technical degree preferred1+ year of experience in panel assembly, wiring, or QC inspectionAbility to read electrical schematics and diagramsKnowledge of control components (PLCs, relays, VFDs, DDC systems)Familiarity with UL 508A and NEC fundamentalsProficiency with multimeters and torque toolsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills Physical Requirements:This role requires frequent travel by plane or carto job sites, up to 50% of the time.Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout job sites for extended periodsAbility to climb ladders, stairs and lifts as requiredAbility to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in tight or confined spacesAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials up to 50 poundsManual dexterity to handle tools, wiring, and small componentsAbility to work at heights and in varying indoor and outdoor conditionsVisual keenness to read schematics, labels, and digital displaysAbility to hear and respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructionsCapability to safely operate hand and power tools About Us: Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Divcon delivers fully integrated automation solutions nationwide that optimize performance, energy efficiency, and reliability across HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and mission-critical systems.
