This position is responsible for achieving individual and departmental admissions goals by providing exceptional customer service and meeting established performance metrics. Additionally, the advisor will collaborate with various departments to support student enrollment efforts. Success in this role requires the ability to engage with individuals from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds. The Domestic Admissions Advisor reports to the Enrollment Manager and operates under the overall supervision of the Senior Director of Admissions.Must be flexible with work schedule, Saturday work schedule.Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead Management:Effectively manage a pool of student leads derived from various sources, utilizing our Slate systemConduct individual and group information sessions for prospective students and families.Guide prospective students and their families through the college application process, providing information about program offerings, financial aid, and campus life.Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholdersProvide information about application requirements, deadlines, and policies.Assist students with completing and submitting their college applicationsPerformance MetricsMeet and exceed individual and department goals to contribute to the university’s strategic goalsAttend weekly meetings to present and discuss student caseloadOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities RequiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to present in group settingsPositive interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated and compassionateAbility to make independent decisions and manage multiple projects and work well in a team environmentKnowledge of and commitment to regulatory and college enrollment policies, standards, and proceduresBasic skills in the use of computerized systems and databasesAbility to influence othersResults-orientedComfortable with a fast-paced environmentRequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required1+ years of customer service, sales, marketing, or recruiting requiredMinimum of 2 years of college admissions experience preferredDemonstrated consultative sales aptitude and commitment to professional development.Military background or experience working with military students preferred.Limitations and DisclaimerThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
