Join our team to help build a better, more sustainable world for future generations!Role DefinitionAs a Shop Test Technician-1, you will perform electrical testing and troubleshooting of power equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with Caterpillar Switchgear Americas (CSA) standards and procedures.What You Will DoApply basic understanding of AC/DC electrical principles in daily tasks.Utilize ladder and relay logic for troubleshooting and testing.Work with PLC systems and perform diagnostics as needed.Conduct electrical troubleshooting on low and medium voltage components (480V–12kV).Operate and interpret results from electrical test equipment.Demonstrate familiarity with Paralleling switchgear and 3-phase power systems.Apply knowledge of CSWGR product lines during testing and inspection.Use basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.Perform all duties accurately and meet scheduled deadlines.Carry out any other tasks assigned by Team Lead, Supervisor, or Section Manager.What You Will HaveHigh diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with a degree, or 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician 2.Ability to work well in a team environment Top Candidates Will HaveAbility to understand and interpret diagrams/schematics with precise detail.Experience assembling and wiring electrical components to specification.Physical Requirements (with Or Without Reasonable Accommodation)Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive operations Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
