Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer (Spring Boot/AKS)
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer (Spring Boot/AKS) position! This is a 6-18 months+ contract and will be remote in United States.This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.What You'll Be Doing:Lead cloud migration initiatives supporting the transition from on-premise infrastructure to Azure Cloud CoLo environmentDesign, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs and SOAP web services using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Integrate Azure services including Azure KeyVault, storage accounts, and Application Insights into cloud-native solutionsBuild and maintain Spring Boot 3.5.x microservices with Spring Security and OAuth2 authentication patternsImplement API Management (APIM) solutions consuming services through OAuth and EntraID authentication flowsOversee systems analysis, design, and development activities for complex application modernization projectsProvide technical leadership and direction to less experienced engineers on cloud development initiativesPrepare detailed technical specifications, architecture documentation, and maintain system documentation standardsCollaborate with operations teams and business stakeholders to deliver solutions from analysis through user acceptance testingDrive continuous improvement by recommending new technologies and best practices to enhance cloud infrastructureWhat You'll Need to Have:8+ years of hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot (version 3.5.x required)Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Java 21 developmentProven Azure Cloud development experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure services as core competenciesDemonstrated experience deploying and supporting RESTful APIs and SOAP web services in production AKS environmentsSolid understanding of Azure service integration including KeyVault, storage solutions, and Application InsightsStrong knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2 authentication patterns, and JUnit testing frameworksExperience with GitLab Duo and modern CI/CD practicesPay Range: $75-80+/hrQuestions about any of our jobs?
