Position Title: Mechanical Field Service SpecialistLocation: Ridgefield, WA – In the fieldCompensation:$45/hrJob SummaryThe Mechanical Field Service Specialist is responsible for servicing batching and mixing plant equipment installed at customer sites across North America. This role includes equipment inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in new plant installations. Extensive travel is required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide mechanical servicing and training to customers during and after equipment serviceAssist with installation of new equipment, upgrades, and specific paid servicesInterpret technical drawings and schematicsPerform welding and mechanical repairs as neededTroubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutionsPromote service offerings and replacement parts to customers when applicableComplete service reports and expense documentationSupport warehouse operations including pulling, packing, and shipping partsRespond to customer service and parts-related inquiriesApply lean concepts to increase efficiency and reduce costsAdhere to all written policies, procedures, and safety best practicesPerform additional duties as assignedExpectationsAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with othersStrong attention to detail and thorough in task executionTakes ownership and responsibility for assigned workDemonstrates a positive, solution-focused attitudeValues quality and takes pride in a job well doneOpen to learning new skills and working in a team environmentRequirementsWillingness to travel 100–150+ days per year across North America and occasionally EuropeAbility to perform manual labor and lift up to 100 lbsFluent in EnglishValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to obtain or currently hold a U.S. passportPhysical DemandsFrequent long hours during service and installation projectsAbility to be away from home for 1–3 weeks at a timeLifting heavy components and climbing heights up to 80 feetExtensive travel and field workPreferred QualificationsMechanical backgroundIndustry-related experienceForklift operation certificationBasic computer proficiencyStrong mechanical knowledgeBenefits401(k) with matchingHealth and dental insurancePaid time offParental leaveCollaborative team environmentComprehensive training on equipment design, manufacturing, assembly, service, and installation
