Position Overview: Project Accountant The Project Accountant will work closely with the Controller and project managers to support financial operations tied to client engagements. This role offers a blend of accounting, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for a detail-oriented Project Accountant who enjoys working directly with operational teams. Key Responsibilities for the Project Accountant Manage project billing cycles and partner with Project Managers Set up and maintain project records in the accounting system Generate and analyze financial reports related to projects Support general accounting and cost tracking processes Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams Ensure accuracy and timeliness of project financial data Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (flexible) 3–5+ years of accounting experience Experience in project accounting, general ledger, or public accounting Strong understanding of general and cost accounting principles Experience in professional services environments (engineering, construction, architecture, law firm, or CPA firm preferred) Deltek Vantagepoint experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 (flexible based on experience) Higher compensation potential for 6–7+ years of experience Discretionary bonus (typically up to ~$2K) 3 weeks PTO (negotiable based on experience) 50% 401(k) match up to 4% (expected to resume) Health benefits effective after 30 days 100% paid gym membership (next door) Pet insurance + free parking Schedule & Work Environment Compressed work week: Monday–Thursday: 9-hour days Friday: 4-hour day Core hours: M–Th: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office (Wednesday required) 2 days remote (including Fridays) ~13 hours remote per week Why Join?
