Position Type: Elementary School Positions/Special Education Teacher Date Posted: 5/18/2026 Location: Oak View Elementary School Date Available: 08/03/2026 For the 2026-2027 School Year Title: Special Education Teacher - RISE Program Start Date: August 3, 2026 Location: Oak View Elementary Details: Our RISE program supports students who need direct instruction in emotional regulation strategies to develop an understanding of how their emotions can impact the day. This instruction is done under the mindset that all students can "RISE" to the occasion and "Reach Individual Success Every day." RISE teachers have the ability to support students in a self-contained or general education setting. Students access classes with their general education peers throughout the day as appropriate and receive instruction in the RISE classroom under the direction of the licensed special education teacher & in collaboration with general education teachers. Instructional areas focus on core academics, self-regulation, social skills, and emotional intelligence. RISE teachers work closely with a team of instructional assistants, other special education staff, building staff, and parents to design an engaging, appropriately challenging, and inclusive learning environment within the building. Licensing Required: Indiana Teaching License - Mild Intervention (or the equivalent) at the specified grade levels.
