Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Office/Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations and administrative functions within our organization. Duties
Oversee all aspects of accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records.
Prepare and review financial reports, including statements aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and regulatory reporting requirements.
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial data.
Supervise payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as to streamline financial operations.
Monitor cash management activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory standards pertinent to for profit and retail, governmental, or public accounting environments.
Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits or reviews.
Support financial analysis efforts to inform strategic decision-making through detailed account analysis and financial concepts application.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project budgets, cost control measures, and compliance initiatives.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP, IFRS, and double-entry bookkeeping.
Proven experience with governmental or retail accounting practices is highly desirable.
Strong technical skills in accounting software.
Expertise in regulatory reporting requirements for various sectors including private and retail sector entities.
Proficiency in financial report writing, account reconciliation, and account analysis.
Solid understanding of cash management strategies and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for liaising with auditors, vendors, staff, and external agencies.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in supervising finance teams or administrative staff.
Knowledge of internal controls such as SOX compliance to safeguard organizational assets. Pay: $51,856.01 - $62,450.25 per year
