Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician / Patient Care Coordinator (Intake & Rx Setup) Location: Cary, NC 27513 (On-site training; hybrid after training) Schedule: Mon–Fri, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM ET Training Schedule (required): On-site 9:00 AM–6:00 PM , typically 2–3 months Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (W2) Type: Contract (Temporary) — potential to convert to FTE Openings: 2 About the Role We’re hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for a closed-door specialty pharmacy supporting prescription intake and data entry (Rx Setup). You’ll help ensure referrals/prescriptions are complete and accurate so the dispensing workflow moves smoothly and patients receive medication without delays. Responsibilities Review incoming referrals to confirm complete and accurate information Create patient profiles from scanned/faxed documents by entering patient/provider details Perform an initial check of prescriptions for processing accuracy Communicate with providers to clarify prescriptions, resolve missing info, and provide status updates Document concise progress notes so teams can quickly understand referral status Enter/update provider details (including identifiers such as NPI) accurately in the system Complete additional tasks as assigned Required Qualifications Active CPhT certification (current, unrestricted) Registered with the Board of Pharmacy Previous pharmacy experience (pharmacy setting required) Strong attention to detail (high-volume data entry environment) Basic computer skills, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills Ability to work the assigned schedule and attend on-site training (2–3 months) Preferred Qualifications 2+ years pharmacy and/or healthcare experience Excellent organization and time management skills Work Model On-site during training After training: Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote) Benefits (per client/program guidelines) Benefits available to eligible full-time employees after 90 days 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service How to Apply Apply now—qualified candidates will be contacted quickly.
