Sr Procurement Specialist- Ingredients

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will manage the purchasing of ingredients with a focus on texturants and components, balancing price, quality, logistics, reliability, and supply continuity. You will lead sourcing strategy development, supplier management, contract execution, and data stewardship while partnering cross-functionally to identify value opportunities, improve processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships that support business objectives.A Taste of Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned ingredient spend in alignment with approved procurement programsPlan and organize activities related to managed categories, ensuring alignment with business priorities and supply strategiesPrepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, pricing, and specification complianceOversee end-to-end procurement activities from intent to purchase through delivery of materialsLead negotiations for complex materials and services, driving favorable commercial outcomesManage supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, innovation, and cost competitivenessResolve supply, pricing, contract, and supplier performance issues with urgency and sound judgmentPartner with internal stakeholders to identify cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation opportunitiesMaintain accurate master data and provide transactional and reporting support as neededSupport and champion change management initiatives, including integrating demand-driven principles within procurementReview and resolve vendor claims and ensure compliance with company policiesArrange buy-backs or disposition strategies for surplus materials when applicableUse analytics tools, including Excel and Power BI, to monitor performance, support decision-making, and communicate insightsIngredients Required for Your SuccessBachelor’s degree required; professional certification preferred5 or more years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, commodity management, or financeStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsStrategic mindset with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of market economics, cost structures, and value analysis to support data-driven sourcing decisionsExperience negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract development and executionProficiency in Excel; experience with SAP and Power BI preferredProven ability to build and maintain strong supplier and cross-functional relationshipsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsNumber of Days in Office: 3CompensationPay Range:$82,000-$120,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
