Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer in the Houston TX areaFlexible Work Structure: Modern 4/10 work schedule providing a 3-day weekend every week (Fridays off), combined with a flexible hybrid arrangement (2 days in-office / 2 days remote).Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $85,000 – $95,000, supplemented by quarterly performance bonus opportunities.Comprehensive Benefits: Full health coverage package (medical, dental, vision).Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) package and paid company holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Analysis & DesignPerform structural calculations to evaluate loads, stresses, and material behavior across varied soil and environmental conditions.Design structural steel and reinforced concrete frameworks, producing clear plan views and detailed sections for civil and public works infrastructure.Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data using computer modeling tools to ensure structural integrity and code compliance.Project Deliverables & CAD SupervisionDevelop robust engineering packages, including construction specifications, project plans, and execution schedules from concepts, models, and initial drawings.Provide clear technical guidance and direction to CAD technicians to ensure drafting accuracy and efficiency.Client Collaboration & ExecutionServe as a technical point of contact, interacting directly with clients to fulfill project requirements and address design iterations.Manage multiple project timelines independently under deadline pressure.Qualifications & Skill RequirementsExperience: 2-5+ years of direct experience in structural engineering and design.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).Technical Software: Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software—specifically RISA—along with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Core Skills: Strong foundation in structural mechanics, physics, and applied mathematics.Execution & Communication: Proven ability to manage multiple projects autonomously with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
