Locum Tenens Opportunity: APP General Surgery Nocturnist near BARNESVILLE, PA Overview: Are you an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in General Surgery seeking an enriching locum tenens opportunity? We have an opening near BARNESVILLE, PA, for a dedicated Nocturnist to cover general and vascular surgery, starting March 1, 2024. This 6-month contract involves a 7 pm to 7 am shift every other week, providing a work-life balance for qualified professionals. Position Details: Job ID #: j-191435 Specialty: APP General Surgery Nocturnist Start Date: March 1, 2024 Contract Length: 6 months Shift Details: 7 pm - 7 am Every other week Schedule: 7 on/7 off Work Details: Support Staff: TBD Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Full Time Patients Per Day: Varies - inpatient can be as low as 5-20 surgical patients and 0-4 vascular patients. Patient Population/Age: 12 yrs old - Adult; Most patients are between 40-70 Department Description: This role includes general surgery and vascular surgery, floor calls, and inpatient and ER consults with admissions. First assist with surgeries with all emergent cases on night call (2-4 per week). ER consults and admissions as needed. One general surgeon and two vascular surgeons in this role. EMR: EPIC Hospital Bed Size: 131 Special Procedures: None Skills Required: Wound debridements, Chest Tube insertions, Feeding tubes, etc. Practice Setting: Hospital Inpatient Requirements: Board Certification: BC State License Required: PA DEA: Yes CSR: Yes Certifications Preferred: NACCAP Certifications Required: BLS Minimum Experience Required: 2 years.
