Floor Manager - Aloha Mixed Plate

We look forward to hearing from those who share our values, principles, and the spirit of Aloha.Description: Responsible for every aspect of the guest's and staff's experience. * Up to $1000 Signing Bonus*Duties include:Training new hires, and scheduling staff, greeting guests, resolving customer complaints, providing hands-on help to service teams, leading daily pre-shifts with staff.Schedules and leads monthly Staff Meetings.Establishes and maintains good communication and relationships with staff.Identifies regular customers by name and tracks their preferences.Restaurant experience in a supervisory or management role strongly preferred.Our Performance Expectations are: The Floor Manager reports to the General Manager of Aloha Mixed Plate.Hires and oversees training and performance reviews for dining service staff, followingthe standards set for each outlet and using the passport as a base guideSchedules staff based upon anticipated volume and coordination of balanced service teamsAdjusts environment, music and lighting, and temperature as needed to maintain the appropriate atmosphere and service levelsResolves any customer complaints that are "passed up" from staff and/or asks for help from the Restaurants General Manager or Food & Beverage DirectorProvides hands-on help if needed by any of the service teams, including facilitating the resolution of conflicts between or within teamsGreets guests and delivers the aloha experience to eachKnows regulars by name and tracks their seating and dining preferencesPasses all training requirements required of front line staff as server, host, and busser positions within 6 monthsIs able to prepare all specialty beverages according to Aloha Mixed Plates specificationsMaintains inventory of service products, glassware, silver, uniformsLeads service staff in cleaning and maintaining of all front of the house areas, furniture, equipment and fixtures, coordinating with the Chef and cleaning crewUpdates Point of Sale systems as neededLeads daily pre-shifts and schedules monthly staff meetingsEstablishes and maintains good communication and a positive working relationship with Restaurant Managers, General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Chef and Back of the House staffThe Success Patterns for this position are: Restaurant experience in a supervisory or management role strongly preferredHas worked in a high-end restaurant service environmentHas an appreciation for and working knowledge of really good local foodProvides leadership that inspires teamwork, generates energy, enthusiasm, and drives resultsHas a reputation for excellent relations with customers, vendors, floor and Kitchen staffHas the ability to design, implement, and to continuously improve the systems and procedures that lead to successHas experience in the training and development of staff membersIs self-directed and able to work independently, as well as be an integral member of the management teamHas the ability to deliver the Aloha Mixed Plate Experience to every customer.Likes to work holidays, weekends, events, and other peak periods of the restaurantBusinessSuccessful Candidates will have the following Personal Characteristics: Leadership style consistent with Na Hoaloha Ekolu team managementAn outgoing personality who can create and build energy around themExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPassionate about great food and great serviceExcellent planning, organization, and coordination skillsComfortable making decisions and problem solving.Can handle complexity and paradoxHigh level of interest in learning about food, people, and businessPossesses strong interpersonal skills and able to work easily with diverse people and groupsWe offer an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, drug, 401(k) with up to 4% company match, PTO upon qualifying, flexible spending account, employee meals, discounts and much more!
