YOUR ROLE:nVent is on the lookout for a strategic and energetic Commercial Sales Director for the ERICO/ILSCO brands within the Electrical Connections business. Sales Growth: Drive impressive sales results for ERICO and ILSCO by nurturing existing relationships and unlocking new opportunities. Utilize our diverse product lineup to position yourself as a solutions provider. Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a multi-year sales strategy that targets prospective customers, significant projects, and channel partners to achieve your territory's sales objectives. Leadership and Management: Inspire an ambitious sales team to align with your strategic vision while fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and collaboration. Customer & Field Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, distribution partners, and industry stakeholders, acting as an advocate for customer needs and market insights. Product Expertise and Specification Influence: Share your expertise through training and presentations, highlighting ERICO and ILSCO's unique value propositions to enhance stakeholder engagement and drive demand. Quote and Solution Assistance: Collaborate with agents to produce compelling proposals and quotes for ERICO and ILSCO offerings, including lightning and surge protection solutions. Revenue and Profitability: Manage pricing strategies and KPIs to maximize profitability, analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for enhancement. Cross-Functional Teamwork: Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Operations to ensure sales strategies are aligned with nVent's broader objectives, including successful product launches. Sales Operations: Utilize CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to manage the sales pipeline and collaborate with internal teams to optimize support materials and inventory. Note: This position may be based in various locations, with one candidate selected for the role. YOU BRING:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in outside sales. 5+ years of experience in outside or territory sales management within commercial or industrial sectors related to electrical products. Willingness to travel approximately 60% across the region (IL, IA, KS, MO, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI, and Northwestern IN) and possess a valid driver's license. Strong technical sales skills and a background in value-based selling. Knowledge of commercial and contractor sales is advantageous. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of working independently. Familiarity with CRM platforms (like Salesforce) and sales analytics tools. Physical capability to navigate construction project sites.
